About the role#
NVIDIA is looking for a PhD Research Intern to join the Circuits team. This role focuses on exploring high-performance, low-power circuit technologies to support future processor computation and interconnect needs. You will design and implement prototype circuits while working alongside researchers and internal product teams to transfer new technology into future products.
What you'll do#
- Explore circuit approaches to optimize processor computation, interconnect performance, and power consumption.
- Design and implement new circuit solutions in prototype systems.
- Collaborate with researchers and diverse product teams across the organization.
- Transfer developed technologies to internal product groups.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Research experience in power delivery, specifically in areas such as digital and analog control architectures for power converters, EMI analysis and mitigation, or power supply design.
- Strong theoretical and practical background in circuit design.
- Technical depth in at least one area of high-performance circuit design, such as PLLs and clocking, SerDes, high-speed signaling, photonics, SRAMs, security circuits, or high-speed logic.
- A track record of research excellence or significant product development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Locations: Santa Clara, California or Durham, North Carolina.
- Role type: Full-time, on-site internship.
- Compensation: Hourly rate between 38 USD and 94 USD, based on location, education, and experience.
- Term: Rolling.
