About the role#
Etched is looking for a Lab Operations Intern to support our hardware testing environment. You will manage the day to day operations that turn raw silicon into working systems. This role requires a balance of reliability and curiosity, as you will see how a frontier AI chip moves from a tray of parts to a fully functional rack. You should be prepared for hands-on work that requires precision and care.
What you'll do#
- Run test stations to ensure hardware performance.
- Assemble and rework hardware components.
- Manage cable racks and lab inventory.
- Take on additional engineering tasks as you gain experience.
What you'll need#
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Interest in both software and hardware systems.
- Comfort with hands-on technical work.
- A bias to action and a desire to learn how a hardware company functions end to end.
- Availability to work evenings or weekends.
- Experience with software, mechanical engineering, or thermal systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with accelerator hardware or datacenter environments is a plus.
- Previous experience building or owning hardware testing systems is a bonus.
