About the role#
Anthropologie is hiring a Merchandise Planning Intern for the Summer 2027 program. You will help maximize sales, manage inventory, and support division financial objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to learn how data-driven planning influences profitability.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Buying and Merchandising teams to reach department goals.
- Assist planning counterparts with operational tasks and division reporting.
- Build style-level plans using forecasts, historical trends, and test results.
- Support merchandise planning across one or more assigned departments.
- Contribute to Open-to-Buy, Strategy, and Hindsight meetings.
- Maintain weekly reports on sales trends, style performance, on-order status, and unit turnover.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Retail Management, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in retail math, statistical analysis, and data-driven problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data organization.
- Experience with Word and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Interest in retail, e-commerce planning, fashion trends, and consumer behavior.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- The program runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
