About the role#
NSK is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Intern for our Liberty, Indiana facility for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, 12-week paid internship running from May through August. You will work on-site, collaborate with other interns, and participate in company social and community service events.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute a specific project and present your findings to the executive leadership team.
- Provide engineering support for technical problems, ranging from simple tasks to complex issues under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Participate in product development projects.
- Assist engineers with technical service initiatives, including sampling, analysis, and recommendations.
- Create and maintain product and process documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Provide regular updates on project status.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited B.S. engineering program, specifically Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of at least your freshman year of undergraduate coursework.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with CAD software.
- A basic understanding of production processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to communicate across different levels of the organization.
- Availability to work full-time for the duration of the 12-week program.
