About the role#
NOVEC is hiring for a paid Project Management intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Gainesville, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Assist Project Managers with project coordination, tracking, and documentation.
- Help maintain project schedules and track action items.
- Attend meetings to take notes and manage follow-up tasks.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and project updates.
- Track project costs, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Organize and maintain project files and records.
- Support various project management activities and special assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving history.
- Interest in project management and the electric utility industry.
