About the role#
As an Enterprise Sustainability & Impact Intern, you will work with the Enterprise Sustainability & Impact team on a project relevant to the business. You will use quantitative and analytical methods to explore climate and environmental risks, identify trends, and support insights that contribute to enterprise resilience and long-term performance. The project scope is shaped by business needs and your own background.
What you'll do#
- Research and analyze climate, environmental, economic, geospatial, and financial datasets.
- Apply analytical methods to evaluate risks and opportunities.
- Create data visualizations, such as maps, dashboards, and charts, to support decision-making.
- Translate complex findings into business-relevant insights and recommendations.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations and written summaries.
- Develop repeatable tools, methodologies, or processes for future analysis.
- Collaborate across teams to understand business context and test assumptions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a master's or doctoral degree in a quantitative discipline, including Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Environmental Science, or Geography.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and research skills.
- Ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Commitment to high ethical standards and data integrity.
- Proficiency with analytical tools like Python or R, visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau, or GIS software like ArcGIS or QGIS is preferred.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets is preferred.
- Familiarity with climate, weather, or socioeconomic data is preferred.
- Prior internship or professional experience in a corporate, consulting, or financial services environment is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- The program takes place during Summer 2027.
- Compensation ranges from $16.50 to $30.00 per hour, based on academic tenure and major.
