About the role#
As an actuarial intern, you will work under the direction of a credentialed actuary. You will contribute to critical tasks within departments such as Life, Long Term Care, Disability Income, Annuity Pricing, Risk Experience Analytics, Corporate Modeling, or Valuation. We incorporate study hours into your workday to support your progress.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with your manager, mentors, and team on daily projects.
- Research problems, analyze data, and present your findings.
- Participate in professional development workshops and senior leadership Q&A sessions.
- Network with actuaries in senior leadership positions across the company.
- Learn about the various products offered by the firm.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A working knowledge of Excel or similar office tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Completion of an SOA exam is preferred.
- Previous actuarial internship or relevant project experience is preferred.
