About the role#
We are looking for an IT Co-Op Student to join our team in Vancouver. This is a hands-on position for a student currently enrolled in a Computer Science or Information Technology program. You will gain practical experience by working alongside our IT staff on projects that impact the business. This role offers a chance to learn from experienced professionals in a supportive environment.
What you'll do#
- Handle day-to-day IT support tickets, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Maintain and document systems, equipment inventory, and configurations.
- Support the setup and deployment of new devices, software, and tools for our staff.
- Escalate and track issues to resolution with the guidance of senior IT staff.
- Assist with specific projects, such as system migrations, tool rollouts, or process documentation.
- Research and evaluate new tools, platforms, or vendors.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and documentation for the team.
- Test and provide feedback on new workflows or systems.
- Collaborate with IT staff and cross-functional teams while participating in team meetings and learning opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Information Technology program.
- Previous work experience or relevant coursework and projects in IT, software development, or a related field.
- A genuine interest in learning about IT Helpdesk, Operations, Project Management, and Security functions.
- Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Organizational skills and the ability to work independently with some ambiguity.
