About the role#
NJM Insurance Group is looking for a Financial Reporting Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position supports our Accounting area by assisting with monthly and quarterly closing processes. You will contribute to meaningful work while gaining exposure to the Property and Casualty Insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Record journal entries and analyze financial statements.
- Support internal, external, and regulatory auditors by retrieving requested documentation.
- Review current tasks to identify operational efficiencies and automated solutions for manual processes.
- Complete special projects as requested.
What you'll need#
- Current Sophomore or Junior standing pursuing a bachelors degree in Accounting.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
- An interest in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry.
Location & details#
- This is a part-time, paid internship based on-site in West Trenton, New Jersey.
- Candidates must be commutable to the West Trenton office.
- Compensation is $21 to $22 per hour.
