About the role#
The I.T. Workstation Support Intern will assist the IT team with technical support for workstation hardware, software, operating systems, and network connectivity. This role provides hands-on experience troubleshooting technology issues, supporting IT projects, and documenting procedures to develop practical enterprise IT skills. This is a paid summer internship.
What you'll do#
- Respond to technical questions and resolve workstation problems involving PC client OS, applications, and hardware.
- Assist Senior Workstation Specialists during large-scale projects and support Server and Network groups with multi-workstation issues.
- Coordinate with the IT Service Desk in a Field Analyst capacity.
- Research solutions using in-house and Internet resources.
- Manage assigned tasks in the call tracking tool while adhering to Service Level Agreements.
- Document events, procedures, work orders, incident tickets, and problem tickets to ensure knowledge can be reused by the team.
- Keep current with technology through training and industry literature.
What you'll need#
- Current Sophomore or Junior pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows support and Microsoft Office products.
- General knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, and group policy.
- Experience with Dell Optiplex and IBM/Lenovo hardware.
- Experience with Ivanti, Adobe, iOS, and other 3rd party migration and personalization tools.
Location & details#
- This position is located in West Trenton, New Jersey.
- Candidates must be commutable to the office.
- The role is on-site and part-time for the Summer 2027 term.
