About the role#
NJM Insurance Group is looking for an analytical and inquisitive intern to join the Quality Engineering team for the Summer 2027 program. This role balances testing tasks with coding and development projects. You will receive training and job shadowing to support your work. The program also includes networking events, leadership seminars, and community volunteer activities.
What you'll do#
- Learn the Quality Engineering function within the software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and improve the test automation framework written in Java.
- Collaborate with SDETs and testers to troubleshoot and fix automation framework issues.
- Build and deploy software to the production environment.
- Create and execute manual and automated test scripts to support project delivery teams.
- Perform manual validation of documents against specified requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current sophomore or junior status pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages such as Java, C#.NET, or JavaScript.
- An aptitude for software engineering and the ability to learn new functional and technical concepts quickly.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site internship based in West Trenton, New Jersey.
- Applicants must be commutable to the West Trenton office.
- This is a paid, part-time position for Summer 2027.
- The pay rate is $21 to $25 per hour.
