About the role#
Nexus Engineering Group is hiring for a Civil/Structural Engineer Intern or Co-Op for the summer of 2027. You will work with our Structural team to prepare drawings, calculations, and project deliverables. This role involves collaborating with other engineering disciplines to provide complete packages to our clients. You will gain experience in consulting workflows, drafting software, and the application of industry codes.
What you'll do#
- Perform research on existing drawings.
- Create 2-D graphics using AutoCAD and 3-D graphics using Revit.
- Develop new templates for the Structural Department.
- Review codes and write project design specifications.
- Assist experienced Structural Engineers with their daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Civil Engineering at an accredited four-year college or university.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively within diverse teams.
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or STAADPRO is a plus.

- This is a paid, full-time position located on-site in Maumee, Ohio.
