About the role#
Nexus Engineering Group is hiring a Civil/Structural Engineer Intern or Co-op for Summer 2027. You will work with our Structural team to prepare drawings, calculations, and project deliverables. This role involves collaborating with other engineering disciplines to provide complete packages for our clients. You will gain experience with business workflows, finite element analysis, and the application of industry codes.
What you'll do#
- Research existing drawings.
- Create 2-D graphics using AutoCAD and 3-D models in Revit.
- Update graphics standards and build new templates for the Structural Department.
- Review codes and write project design specifications.
- Support experienced Structural Engineers with daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with drafting software like AutoCAD or Revit.
- Ability to work effectively within diverse teams.
- Exposure to STAADPRO or similar finite element programs is a plus.

- This is an on-site position based in Cleveland, Ohio.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
