About the role#
The Group Benefit Solutions (GBS) Correspondence team helps employees, employers, and account teams understand claim and leave information. As the team modernizes its letter suite, this internship focuses on simplifying communications, improving readability, and creating consistency across products like Absence, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life, and Voluntary Benefits. You will gain hands-on experience in business communications, process documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Support efforts to simplify communications and improve readability across products and processes.
- Create client-facing correspondence samples to help account teams explain modernization efforts.
- Organize letter examples and document consistent practices.
- Identify opportunities for standard work and help establish repeatable processes.
- Support the development of templates and reference materials.
What you'll need#
- Rising junior or senior status at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, English, or Technical Writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Ability to create polished client-facing samples, presentations, and reference materials.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with an analytical mindset.
- Creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
