About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to work with the engineering team at the Gerald Gentleman Station in Sutherland, Nebraska. You will support daily operations and maintenance at the largest generating facility in the state. The role runs from May 2027 through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist plant engineers with equipment troubleshooting.
- Collect field data and update plant records.
- Review technical drawings and prepare necessary revisions.
- Trend equipment performance data to support system reliability.
- Research options for equipment and component replacements or upgrades.
- Help plant engineers with project field implementation and contractor oversight.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing an engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
- You must have finished your sophomore year of college.
- Eligible majors include Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering.
