About the role#
This 12-week internship program runs from May 2027 through August 2027. You will join the Internal Audit Technology & Analytics Team, which uses quantitative methods to support risk assessment programs and data-driven testing. You will work in a hybrid capacity on projects that provide actionable insights to management and executive leadership.
What you'll do#
- Use exploratory data analysis and statistical techniques to assess process risks.
- Build dashboards and visual aids to share insights with management.
- Help acquire, clean, and transform data sets for analysis.
- Create reports to communicate observations and recommendations.
- Document project plans and maintain supporting records for your work.
- Use Microsoft Copilot and AI agents to assist with research, analysis, and automation.
- Collaborate with other Summer Associates and team members on stretch assignments.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and communicate technical concerns to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program or higher in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Finance, or Computer Science.
- An anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL, and AI tools like Copilot.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply data and instructions to established procedures and regulations.
- An interest in risk management, audit, or enterprise governance.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based at one of our campuses in Vienna, VA, Pensacola, FL, or Winchester, VA.
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
