About the role#
The Internal Audit IT Intern assists in testing financial, accounting, and operational controls across business and IT systems. You will gain exposure to the financial services, technology, and mortgage industries through hands-on project work and professional development sessions.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing of IT general and application controls to support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Participate in annual walkthroughs to build an understanding of key systems and processes.
- Engage with management on identified issues and help document remediation plans.
- Provide regular updates to team leads regarding testing results and project status.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners on projects that support functional areas.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university degree program, advancing to at least junior year, or recent graduation.
- Pursuing a degree in IT Audit, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous coursework in accounting and finance.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience using MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- An interest in learning coding and data analytics is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Atlanta, Georgia.
- The program runs during Summer 2027 with two schedule options: May 24 to August 6 or June 7 to August 20.
- Interns must be available to work five days a week at the Atlanta office for the full duration of the selected schedule.
