About the role#
This year-round internship provides support to the Facilities Management department at our Pensacola campus. You will gain insight into our business operations, technology, and procedures while applying your academic knowledge to real-world tasks. You will participate in a collaborative network, interact with multiple departments, and receive guidance from your team and management.
What you'll do#
- Provide day-to-day operational support to your assigned department.
- Work on small projects or specific portions of larger initiatives.
- Assist and collaborate with various levels of staff.
- Perform research and analysis, including quantitative and qualitative tasks.
- Process and update data in automated systems and generate reports.
- Prepare and submit budget requirements for the Annual Financial Plan.
- Proofread and edit content to ensure standardization and accuracy.
- Plan, develop, and maintain new and existing programs.
- Recommend and implement technical enhancements to improve administrative operations.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Provide direct member service during high-volume situations when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college-level courses or a degree-seeking program.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Experience performing clerical or administrative duties.
- Knowledge of expense tracking, budget preparation, and administration.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and operate Facilities Management systems, Outlook Apps, and Asana.
- Commitment to self-development and communication with impact.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy, meet deadlines, and exercise good judgment.
Location & details#
- Location: 5550 Heritage Oaks Dr, Pensacola, FL 32526.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (minimum 20 hours per week).
- Status: Full-time internship.
- Requirement: You must be currently enrolled in college-level courses throughout the duration of the internship and provide your transcripts.
