    About the role#

    Nasdaq is hiring a Software Development Student for the Winter 2027 term. This role is part of our co-op program, which pairs you with a mentor and provides access to professional development sessions. You will work alongside experienced teams to build hands-on skills and contribute to real-world projects. This is a full-time, paid position.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with your team to deliver project requirements and contribute to ongoing initiatives.
    • Apply your ideas and curiosity to solve technical problems and design solutions.
    • Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and ensure quality.
    • Develop your technical and professional skills through training and mentorship.
    • Gain direct experience with software development processes.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently enrolled in a Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science degree program and will continue your studies after the co-op.
    • You are available for a registered co-op term starting in January 2027.
    • You have experience with object-oriented software development.
    • You possess strong analytical skills and a passion for creative problem-solving.
    • You work well with others and contribute to a team environment.
    • You are eager to learn, ask questions, and take on new challenges.
    • You must include a copy of your most recent transcript with your application.
    • It is helpful if you have exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud technologies, experience with distributed computing or database technologies like PostgreSQL, and familiarity with automated testing frameworks.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, or Toronto, Ontario.
    • The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least 3 days per week in the office.
