About the role#
Murray Company is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Las Vegas, Nevada. You will work within the Operations group, supporting project managers across pre-construction, fabrication, and field installation tasks for mechanical projects like HVAC, plumbing, and process piping.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical projects.
- Review designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.
- Visit project sites to monitor progress and verify compliance with specifications.
- Help prepare cost estimates and budgets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university program pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to traverse uneven surfaces on project sites and climb stairs.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks, starting as early as May 2027.
- Compensation: $24.00 per hour.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
