About the role#
Murray Company is seeking a Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within our Operations group alongside project managers to gain hands-on experience in mechanical construction, including plumbing, HVAC, and process piping. This role is based in Chandler, Arizona, and requires on-site work.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical projects.
- Review designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Manage project documentation such as submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.
- Visit project sites to monitor progress and ensure specification compliance.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university program pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10-12 consecutive weeks.
- Physical ability to traverse uneven surfaces on project sites and climb stairs.
- Current authorization to work in the United States on an ongoing, permanent basis.
