About the role#
Murray Company is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for our Operations group. You will work with project managers to gain hands-on experience in mechanical construction, including plumbing, HVAC, process piping, and industrial projects. This role involves supporting pre-construction, fabrication, and field installation tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical projects.
- Manage project documentation such as submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.
- Visit project sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Support the preparation of cost estimates and budgets.
- Facilitate communication among project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Aid in quality control measures and safety protocol implementation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university program pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to take initiative and work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 10-12 consecutive weeks.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Boise, Idaho, with travel to project sites in the greater Boise area.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
