About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience in project management within our operations group. You will work alongside project managers on mechanical projects including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and industrial work. You will gain exposure to pre-construction, fabrication, and field installation tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating mechanical projects.
- Review project designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Manage project documentation such as submittals, RFIs, change orders, and reports.
- Visit project sites to monitor progress and check for compliance.
- Support the preparation of cost estimates and budgets.
- Aid in quality control measures and safety protocol implementation.
- Communicate with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university program.
- Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 10 to 12 week duration of the internship.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and traverse uneven surfaces on project sites.
- Visual acuity to interpret detailed construction drawings.

- Locations: Cypress, California or Rancho Dominguez, California.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm.
- Compensation: $26.00 per hour.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
