About the role#
The Human Resources Co-op role provides foundational experience in a manufacturing environment. You will support the Human Resources Manager with daily operations, ranging from administrative tasks to health and safety initiatives. This position requires a balance of office work and time spent on the manufacturing floor.
What you'll do#
- Organize onboarding activities including new hire documentation and orientation sessions.
- Support training programs by managing scheduling and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with the development, training, and implementation of health and safety procedures.
- Administer the Employee Recognition Program.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries while maintaining a helpful demeanor.
- Prepare memos, update communication boards, and handle general administrative duties like meeting coordination and data entry.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain work areas according to 5S standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a recognized post-secondary program in Human Resources or a related field.
- A strong interest in Human Resources legal compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- The ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and work in a production setting.

- Compensation: $17.60 - $25.48 per hour.
