The Assembly Support Co-op role provides hands-on experience in a motor vehicle manufacturing environment. You will work on-site to support maintenance operations, ensure assembly quality, and contribute to the efficiency of production processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist in solving maintenance-related problems to minimize production interruptions.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on plant equipment and grounds.
- Monitor assembly processes to ensure all quality specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and assist in maintaining up-to-date equipment documentation.
- Participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program and downtime reduction initiatives.
- Implement new technologies to improve productivity and quality.
- Make recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions and assist in preparing safety and operation procedures.
- Provide support to the Welding Support, Facilities, and Press/Toolroom departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and welding processes (GMAW).
- Strong problem-solving techniques and communication skills.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools is considered an asset.
- Experience with mechanical systems is considered an asset.

- Location: East Gwillimbury, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $17.60 - $25.48 per hour.
- Status: Full-time, paid co-op position.
