About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op position based on-site in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. You will support the assembly and maintenance teams by troubleshooting equipment and helping to keep production running smoothly. This role is open to students currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program for Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Solve maintenance problems to minimize production downtime.
- Perform repair and maintenance work across the plant and grounds.
- Monitor assembly processes to ensure all quality specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and maintain up-to-date equipment documentation.
- Participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program and complete scheduled checklists.
- Help implement new technologies to improve quality and productivity.
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and increase equipment efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist in creating safety procedures.
- Support the Welding, Facilities, and Press/Toolroom departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant post-secondary co-op program.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and welding (GMAW).
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is an asset, as is experience with mechanical systems.

- Compensation: $17.60 - $25.48 per hour.
