Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Assist in solving maintenance related problems with minimum interruption to production.Perform all maintenance and repair work in either the plant or grounds as assigned.Ensure all assembly quality specifications are met, by continuously monitoring the assembly processes on the equipment assigned.Troubleshoot all aspects of the assembly process as required.Assist in maintaining up to date documentation of all equipment. This includes documenting all of the changes to the equipment in MVP.Actively participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program, and down time reduction process. This includes following the PMP schedule and completing the PMP checklists.Participate in the development and implementation of the latest technologies to improve productivity and/or quality.Make recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs. This includes manufacturing, repairs and installations of parts, components, services and equipment.Maintain clean and safe working conditions.Actively participate in the preparation of safety and operation procedures.Provide support to the Welding Support Department, Facilities Department and Press/Toolroom as required.Basic Requirements:Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program in a related field.Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools is an asset.Experience with mechanical systems is an asset.Basic knowledge of electrical systems.Basic knowledge of welding process (GMAW).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Good problem solving techniques.This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
