About the role#

The E-Coat Co-op position at Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions involves supporting the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of e-coat wastewater and conveyor systems. This role focuses on ensuring process stability through analytical testing, equipment monitoring, and routine maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment.

What you'll do#

• Prepare the start-up, monitor, and manage the shutdown of e-coat wastewater and conveyor systems.
• Conduct analytical and instrumental analyses on all process tanks, interpret results, and make necessary chemical additions or adjustments.
• Perform process and performance tests on finished parts to meet specifications.
• Monitor process equipment performance, including ultra-filtration systems, paint chillers, and chemical metering pumps.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as changing filter systems and removing waste sludge.
• Maintain records of equipment performance and monitor chemical and consumable inventory levels.
• Conduct routine weekend tank cleaning and maintain established housekeeping standards.
• Collect film-thickness data and assist in preparing process capability reports.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology.
• Knowledge of e-coat materials, processes, and related equipment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to make recommendations regarding process operations.
• A working knowledge of S.P.C, Gage R&R, Calibrations, and Q.O.S. is considered an asset.

• Compensation: $17.60 - $25.48 per hour.
