Multimatic is seeking a Welding Support Co-op to join the team in East Gwillimbury. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position for students enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program. The role focuses on maintaining production equipment and ensuring weld quality standards are consistently met.
What you'll do#
- Assist in solving maintenance issues to minimize production interruptions.
- Monitor weld processes to ensure all quality specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot welding process issues as they arise.
- Maintain and update documentation for all equipment and record changes in MVP.
- Participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program and follow established schedules and checklists.
- Support the development and implementation of new technologies to enhance productivity and quality.
- Contribute to the creation of safety and operational procedures while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Provide support to the Assembly, Facilities, and Press/Toolroom departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Civil, or Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Basic knowledge of the GMAW welding process and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective interpersonal communication.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, tools, and mechanical systems is considered an asset.
