About the role#
This co-op position offers exposure to Human Resources Information Systems, pension, and benefit programs. You will report to the Canada Benefits Operation Manager and assist with various HR projects. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement strategies for pension and benefit data cleanup.
- Review and revise benefit flyers, brochures, checklists, and intranet content.
- Research best practices for communicating benefit plan information to members.
- Monitor and process Wellness program claims while coordinating with vendors.
- Support additional projects related to health care, insurance, workers compensation, and savings.
- Run standard reporting within the Workday HRIS system.
- Coordinate the annual Pension Road Show event across multiple locations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors degree program in Business, Human Resources, Management, Finance, or an equivalent field.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for an 8, 12, or 16-month term starting in January 2027.
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter with high attention to detail.
- Comfort working with large datasets.
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- Locations: Markham, Ontario and Oshawa, Ontario.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. You are expected to report to the Markham or Oshawa Elevation Center at least three times per week.
- Eligibility: You must be enrolled in a co-op program and be legally entitled to work in Canada. Sponsorship is not provided for this role.
