About the role#
This internship is part of the Future Talent Program within the Discovery Sample Management Department. You will join our Research and Development Division in Rahway, New Jersey, for a summer term in 2027. This role offers exposure to the end-to-end drug discovery process while you work alongside multidisciplinary teams supporting small- and large-molecule pipelines.
What you'll do#
- Perform hands-on work with advanced instrumentation and analytical techniques.
- Support process characterization, molecular and materials analysis, and the determination of physical properties.
- Develop a foundation in analytical and physical chemistry method development.
- Participate in departmental and team meetings to gain insight into pharmaceutical research.
- Contribute to a scientific environment focused on drug discovery and development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or pharmaceutical science.
- Completion of at least 2 years of undergraduate studies by June 2027.
- Availability to work on-site full-time (38.75 hours per week) for up to 12 consecutive weeks.
- Basic laboratory skills and research experience are preferred.
- Experience with high-performance liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (such as HPLC, HPLC-MS, GC, GC-MS, or SFC) is preferred.
