About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a laboratory environment focused on biologics development. You will join our team in Madison to support projects involving molecular cloning, cell culture, and recombinant protein expression. This role involves working directly with Process Development teams to ensure cell line development is scalable and ready for manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Support experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
- Prepare buffers, media, and reagents for laboratory use.
- Maintain accurate batch records and documentation following standard operating procedures and Good Laboratory Practices.
- Troubleshoot experimental challenges and use scientific literature to support project goals.
- Communicate and collaborate across teams to manage multiple priorities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a 10 to 12 week period during the summer.
- Eligibility to work legally in the United States.
- Capability to sit, stand, and walk regularly, with the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
