About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support the Sales team at Mountaire Farms. You will work alongside Sales, Marketing, and Business Analytics teams to evaluate historical market performance and develop forecasting insights. The project centers on using data-driven analysis to inform pricing strategies and market planning.
What you'll do#
- Analyze historical Urner Barry market index data to identify seasonal trends and market patterns.
- Develop forecasting tools and analytical models to improve market predictability.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to turn complex data into business insights.
- Contribute to Tableau report enhancements.
- Present findings and recommendations to Sales leadership.
- Complete a final 10-minute project presentation.
- Attend weekly seminar series and complete mid-way and final evaluations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, or Agriculture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel formulas and pivot tables.
- A strong aptitude for working with numbers and identifying trends.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Millsboro, Delaware.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
- Modality: On-site.
- Note: You must be available to travel to Millsboro for final presentations during the week of August 2-6, 2027.
