About the role#
This summer internship focuses on analyzing profitability drivers and business performance metrics within our Agri-Business operations. You will work on a specific project to support our 2027 initiatives, helping the team evaluate operational impacts and identify process improvements. This role is a full-time, paid position based in Millsboro, Delaware.
What you'll do#
- Gather and organize data to track business performance.
- Evaluate trends and develop recommendations based on your findings.
- Attend a weekly seminar series held at various Mountaire facilities.
- Present your project results to department leadership during the final week of the program.
- Complete mid-way and final performance evaluations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program. We prefer majors in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
- A basic understanding of financial statements and probability analysis.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between company sites.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
Location & details#
- Location: Millsboro, Delaware.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Travel: You must be available to travel to Millsboro for final presentations between August 2 and August 6, 2027.
