About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the Agri-Business department. You will work on projects related to commodity risk management, reporting, and business decision support. You will gain exposure to market analysis and trade decision making while working within a family-oriented environment.
What you'll do#
- Complete a finance and analytics project focused on commodity risk management.
- Collect and analyze data to identify process improvements.
- Develop recommendations and present your findings to department leadership.
- Attend a weekly seminar series held at various Mountaire facilities.
- Complete mid-way and final performance evaluations.
- Work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Interest in fields such as finance, accounting, economics, supply chain management, or agriculture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Basic understanding of financial accounting and financial statements.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
- Ability to travel between sites and to Millsboro, Delaware, for final presentations during the week of August 2-6, 2027.
