About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Structural Engineering internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will join our Prelaunch program, a three-month development journey designed to build your technical skills and introduce you to the mindset of a consultant. You will work alongside experienced engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts on meaningful projects.
What you'll do#
- Design engineering solutions and refine technical documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress.
- Analyze project reports and specifications.
- Join client and project team meetings.
- Explore project management tasks.
- Use digital tools to drive sustainable outcomes.
- Build your professional network through our Early Career Professionals group.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the field through previous internships, volunteering, or organization memberships.
- A methodical, pragmatic approach to solving problems.
- Strong communication skills to engage with clients and colleagues.
- A resilient, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to teamwork.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Work Modality: This is a hybrid role. You must be able to commute to the office, with a minimum of three days per week spent on-site.
- Compensation: The expected pay range is $18 to $35 per hour, based on factors such as education, experience, and skills. Interns may participate in the 401(k) retirement savings plan.
