About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers hands-on experience in technical product management within the asset management industry. You will work within the Parametric business unit of Morgan Stanley to help design and deliver client-facing analytics features. The program focuses on modern product management practices, including agile development, data analytics, and user experience design.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and development of client analytics features for sales-facing applications.
- Gather requirements, document user stories, and define business needs.
- Research user workflows, usage patterns, and data to identify improvements for the client experience.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to translate needs into product solutions.
- Assist with feature testing, validate functionality, and document issues to support product delivery.
- Create and maintain product documentation, process flows, and project status updates.
- Develop reports, metrics, and analyses to measure feature effectiveness and support product decisions.
- Participate in Agile team activities and contribute to special projects.
What you'll need#
- Junior or rising Senior status pursuing a degree in STEM, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
- At least two years of undergraduate studies completed by the start of the internship.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in technology and product development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional tact.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Figma, Jira, or Azure DevOps is a plus.
