About the role#
This 10-week summer internship program provides exposure to the Internal Audit department at Morgan Stanley. You will join the team in June to learn audit fundamentals and the firm's specific methodology. The program includes training, engagement with senior leadership, peer mentorship, and a group project. Successful interns may be considered for the full-time Analyst program following graduation.
What you'll do#
- Build a working knowledge of business principles and basic auditing standards.
- Learn to use audit tools and specific testing techniques.
- Execute assurance activities, including audits and continuous monitoring.
- Perform test steps, gather evidence, and document your results.
- Escalate any issues, exceptions, or questions that arise during your work.
- Contribute to discussions regarding risk and business impact.
- Produce work that meets team priorities and department standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the team.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Your expected graduation date is between December 2027 and June 2028.
- You have less than one year of full-time professional experience.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
- Attention to detail and a focus on work quality.
- A willingness to seek guidance and solicit feedback.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to your environment.
- Affiliation with the Institute of Internal Auditors is preferred but not required.
