About the role#
Monument Chemical is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term at our Houston, Texas facility. This is a full-time, paid internship where you will provide technical support to our engineering teams while adhering to safety, environmental, and economic guidelines.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine engineering calculations.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret unit operations data to troubleshoot and optimize processes.
- Recommend improvements regarding safety, health, and environmental issues that affect personnel and operations.
- Apply engineering principles to solve technical assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Completion of junior-level coursework in your field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Eligibility to obtain a TWIC card.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Strong communication and PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- This role is based on-site in Houston, Texas.
- This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
- Interns are responsible for their own housing and relocation arrangements.
- The role involves physical requirements, including walking, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment.
