About the role#
This internship offers a chance to work in a non-lab chemistry role within the Product Safety and Compliance department. You will assist the team in ensuring products meet hazard communication and chemical control regulations. This position spans the Summer 2027, Fall 2027, and Spring 2028 terms.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate the chemistry of products and raw materials to support compliance management.
- Review toxicology data for health and environmental hazard assessments.
- Record data accurately in the compliance management system.
- Maintain documentation on the product safety and compliance SharePoint site.
- Generate Material Safety Data Sheets for experimental sample shipments.
- Help integrate products from acquired companies into existing compliance systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- A self-motivated approach and the ability to work well in a team.
- Interest in organic chemistry is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Wickliffe, Ohio.
- Commitment: 40 hours per week during Summer 2027, followed by 10 to 20 hours per week remotely during the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 semesters.
- This is a paid position.
