About the role#
Monument Chemical is hiring a Chemical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position located in Pasadena, Texas. You will provide technical support to engineers while adhering to company guidelines regarding safety, the environment, and economics. Please note that interns are responsible for their own housing and relocation arrangements.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine engineering calculations.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret unit operations data to troubleshoot and optimize operating issues.
- Issue recommendations on safety, health, and environmental matters that affect personnel and operations.
- Apply learned engineering principles to assignments and develop solutions for complex features.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Completion of junior level coursework in your major.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Eligibility to obtain a TWIC card.
- Lawful authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

- Physical requirements include the ability to work up to 12 hours per day, navigate ladders and stairs, and wear required personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
