About the role#
As a Global Business Operations Partner Intern, you will help drive operational excellence initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and business performance across our manufacturing operations. You will work directly with the Global Business Operations Partner to identify opportunities for process optimization. Throughout the summer, you will work with Operations, Quality, and Technical teams to transform data into actionable insights and solve real manufacturing challenges. You will gain hands-on experience using statistical analysis and Lean Six Sigma tools.
What you'll do#
- Support Lean Six Sigma initiatives and complete training to achieve White Belt certification.
- Apply structured problem-solving to identify root causes of process inefficiencies.
- Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Perform data mining, hypothesis testing, and statistical analysis to support business decisions.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Evaluate opportunities using systems such as OEMM, MOS, MES, and quality management tools.
- Partner with Quality and Operations teams to conduct trend analysis on defect data.
- Lead or support continuous improvement projects from charter through implementation.
- Develop project scopes, timelines, and success metrics while monitoring progress.
- Present recommendations and outcomes to site leadership and the global Quality organization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of statistics and quantitative analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to document processes accurately.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Active enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the internship.
- Preferred: Experience with Minitab, Power BI, Tableau, R, or Python.
- Preferred: Coursework or experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or operations management.

- Employment: Full-time (40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks).
- Compensation: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour.
