About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at MKS, you will join the Power Solutions team for a 6-month assignment. You will work with Technical Operations to design, develop, and implement production automation software for the semiconductor and thin film markets. You will report directly to the Operations Software Team Lead.
What you'll do#
- Maintain existing automation platforms to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Support new automation development initiatives and other critical projects.
- Design and develop the internal .NET framework used for production automation and backend management.
- Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to design, develop, and deploy new production software.
- Perform root cause analysis on software failures, lead corrective actions, and communicate results to the team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant major.
- Knowledge of .NET, specifically VB.NET or C#.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Ability to solve complex problems related to automation and software development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an international, team-oriented environment.

- Compensation: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour.
