About the role#
This position is a key member of the Office of Student Life and Diversity at Saint Paul College. You will support the campus commitment to becoming an Antiracist Trauma Informed campus by developing and maintaining student resources. You will also collaborate with the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion and other campus partners to promote the success of historically marginalized and underrepresented students.
What you'll do#
- Oversee the execution of campus and student organization programming through event planning, budget support, and student employee supervision.
- Develop and facilitate workshops focused on leadership, identity, and social justice.
- Co-advise the Student Senate and travel to LEAD MN conferences.
- Advise student organizations on the identification, planning, marketing, and budgeting of events.
- Coordinate the Student Life Office to ensure learning experiences are implemented.
- Oversee student workers and maintain accurate records.
What you'll need#
- Two years of experience working with diverse populations in a college student life setting (a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field may substitute for one year of experience).
- Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, religious, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Understanding of student government, leadership development, and student identity development theories.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Windows-based software and the ability to track and report data accurately.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Experience in a Student Life and Diversity setting, including direct work with student government, large budgets, event management, and conflict resolution, is preferred.

- Compensation: $26.12 - $37.91 hourly.
