About the role#
The Ticket Operations Intern provides administrative and operational support to the ticket office. This role offers exposure to the daily functions of an MLB ticket operations department. You will assist the management team with customer service tasks and help maximize ticket sales. The internship lasts 16 to 20 weeks with the possibility of an extension.
What you'll do#
- Sell individual game tickets using the ProVenue system.
- Process, print, and distribute tickets.
- Complete mailing projects for programs like Kids Crew, group tickets, and holiday gifts.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns via phone, email, online chat, and in-person at ticket windows.
- Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and updating spreadsheets.
- Prepare the box office by setting up supplies and signage.
- Assist with Theme and Community Nights redemption.
- Update the daily check-in board during the regular season.
What you'll need#
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to work a minimum of 2 days per week, up to 30 hours.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends for games and events.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Kinesiology.
