About the role#
The Exam Development Unit at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority manages research, development, and administration of pre-employment assessments for civil service and non-civil service roles. This internship involves evaluating candidate qualifications and supporting the creation of testing materials. You will work on-site in Brooklyn during the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Conduct provisional hiring interviews on panels with HR staff and subject matter experts.
- Review resumes to determine if candidates meet minimum qualification requirements.
- Write, edit, and review test questions.
- Collaborate with subject matter expert panels during test reviews.
- Input questions into the computerized testing program and assist in testing the software.
- Conduct research and job analyses to support test development.
- Write reports and assist with the preparation of notices of examination.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate program with a minimum 2.8 GPA.
- A major in Psychology or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
