About the role#
The Project Management Intern will train across our plant and field operations to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will work under close supervision with an assigned mentor to develop skills in project management, manufacturing processes, and site erection. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Train in plant operations, including Production, Steel Fab, Material Handling, Quality Control, and the Carpentry Shop.
- Participate in project site visits to learn the erection process.
- Assist in project planning by helping to develop schedules and timelines.
- Follow all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Science Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
- Experience with project management software like Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Hiram, Georgia.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm (hours may vary during production training).
- Environment: This role involves both office and plant work. The plant area is not climate-controlled and requires the use of PPE including safety glasses, high-visibility vests, hard hats, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and gloves.
