About the role#
This position provides clinical experience for nursing students within the Med Surg Unit at Springfield Regional Medical Center. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to assist with patient care, develop your clinical skills, and gain exposure to the nursing process in a hospital setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
- Assist patients with daily activities, including hygiene, mobility, feeding, and hydration.
- Record vital signs and document patient data accurately.
- Act as a liaison between patients and the nursing staff by reporting changes or concerns.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support quality patient care delivery.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a nursing program.
- Completion of at least one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.
- Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly with the healthcare team.
