About the role#
As a Clinical Nursing Student at Springfield Regional Medical Center, you will work in the Med Surg unit. This role provides direct clinical experience by shadowing Registered Nurses and assisting with patient care. You will work under the guidance of licensed professionals to develop your critical thinking skills and gain exposure to hospital operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Record vital signs and assist with patient data collection.
- Help patients with daily activities including hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
- Act as a liaison between the patient and the nursing team to report changes or concerns.
- Participate in hand-off reports regarding patient and departmental needs.
- Perform delegated tasks once your competency is validated.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a nursing program.
- Completion of at least one clinical nursing course.
- Completion of at least one clinical rotation.

- Location: Springfield, Ohio.
- This is an on-site, paid position.
- The role follows a rolling term schedule.
