About the role#
Engineering Interns work under the guidance of the engineering team to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on applying academic knowledge to practical projects and understanding the fundamentals of manufacturing engineering. Interns will present project outcomes to leadership upon completion.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design, development, and testing of engineering projects.
- Create and update technical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
- Organize and maintain project documentation and data.
- Identify and optimize processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve material usage.
- Analyze current quality control processes to identify defects, determine root causes, and propose solutions to improve product quality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an engineering program, such as Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Plastics Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Prior experience with prototyping, testing, or CAD software.
