The Corporate Communications intern will support the Internal Communications Team in implementing communication plans and managing various internal channels. This role focuses on creating informative content for employees and learners while gaining practical experience in channel management, communications planning, and cross-departmental collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Oversee the main mass email tool for departmental internal use, including content review, troubleshooting, and user training.
- Review, edit, and publish content to the intranet, including contributions from hospital partners.
- Lead the design, review, and editing of institutional internal newsletters, such as the In Good Health Newsletter.
- Assist in executing communication plans for annual events and initiatives by drafting content and creating design assets.
- Develop internal storytelling and marketing content to support employee engagement.
- Create and share analytics reports regarding the performance of internal communication channels.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an upperclassman in a bachelor’s program or as a student in a graduate program with a focus on communications, events, or a similar field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, organize work according to priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Preferred: Prior experience writing business communications for class assignments or previous internships.
- Preferred: Familiarity with content management systems.
