About the role#
The Corporate Communications intern will support the Internal Communications Team by implementing communications plans and managing various internal channels. This role focuses on creating engaging content for employees and learners while helping the team improve communication strategies and channel management. The internship is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the oversight of the main mass email tool, including reviewing content, troubleshooting, and training users on best practices.
- Review, edit, and publish content provided by hospital partners and the Office of Communications to the MCW intranet.
- Lead the design, review, and editing of institutional internal newsletters, such as the monthly In Good Health Newsletter.
- Support the execution of institutional communications plans for annual events and initiatives by drafting content and creating design assets.
- Create and share analytics reports regarding the performance of main internal communications channels.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an upperclassman in a bachelor’s program or as a student in a graduate program in communications, events, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask, plan work according to priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred experience includes writing business communications for class assignments or previous internships, and light experience with content management systems.

- This position is fully remote for residents of Wisconsin.
- Candidates must be in good academic standing.
