The Practice Operations Intern will work under the direction of the Practice Director of Development and Improvement to support leadership teams in performance improvement, change management, and leadership training. This role focuses on applying problem-solving principles and structured methodologies to drive continuous process improvement within clinical operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the facilitation of complex, cross-functional improvement teams to meet performance goals.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare staff to ensure results-oriented project outcomes.
- Apply rigorous data management methods, including collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data while ensuring integrity.
- Act as a change agent to foster a patient-centric, continuous process improvement culture.
- Assist in the development of project charters and monitor progress through key performance metrics.
What you'll need#
- Must be a Senior Undergraduate Student in good standing; Graduate students are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn team leadership, problem-solving, and change management skills.
- Analytical and computer proficiency, including experience with spreadsheets, word processing, and Visio.
- Independent and self-motivated work style.
- Preferred majors include Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Operations Management, or Sociology.
